William Horner

William Horner
Horner was in 1786 and traditionally was a mathematician and also the school and headmaster.  However he is more commonly known for his contribution to animation with his invention the 'Zoetrope'.

However Horner actually stole the idea of the Zoetrope from someone else and used it to show his students and in doing so taking the credit and making a name for himself. The Zoetrope was a big advance in animation and allowed the animation industry to develop.
