Plateau was born on the 14th of October in Belgium and was a physicist. He also was the first person to prove the theory of Persistence of Vision in 1829.
Plateau is now known as a founder of animation and inspired by Michael Faraday. Another achievement of Plateau was that he invented the Phenakistoscope.
